Almost Blue - Elvis Costello and the Attractions.jpg
Elvis Costello released the 'Almost Blue' album in 1981. This was an LP consisting of remakes of country songs. Jerry Chestnut wrote the track. Costello's version peaked at #6 and made the Top 40 in Australia.
The original recording of the song was by country veteran George Jones. He reached #2 on the US Country Chart in 1970. The track was included on his 'George Jones With Love' album.
