Boyz II Men's collaboration with Mariah Carey on "One Sweet Day" was conceived when the 2 acts combined 2 incomplete song ideas. Both parties were inspired by grief.
The duet was unleashed in 1995. It was included on Carey's 'Daydream' album. The single was a worldwide smash. In America, it ruled over the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking 16 weeks.
