As countries begin selecting their entries for the Eurovision Song Contest in May, this blog will look back on the stats and the best from each of the 43 participating nations.

Voltaj - De la capăt cover art.jpegA number of countries joined the Eurovision family in 1994, including Romania. Since then, the country has been represented in 17 Contests. Romanian songs have finished within the Top 10 on 5 occasions. The country's best result is 3rd place- in 2005 and 2010. 
The 2015 entry "De La Capat / All Over Again" was a moving song. Last year, Romania was set to participate but had to withdraw over non-payment.  
Romania will be represented again in 2017. The song and its performer will be announced on March 5.
