Orbison recorded this just prior to his death. The single was unleashed posthumously and flew up the charts around the world. In Canada, it reached #1 and went Top 10 in America, the U.K. and Australia. The song was co-written by Orbison with Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne. The latter handled production.

This started life as a tune initially offered to Ringo Starr but new lyrics turned this into a tribute to another former bandmate following John Lennon's assassination. It reached #1 in Canada, #2 in America and 13 in the U.K. The song was the hit on Harrison's 'Somewhere In England' album.

commemorate the 15th anniversary of George Harrison’s passing and in
celebration of Bob Dylan’s Nobel Prize for Literature, it’s an opportune time
to reflect on the 101 songs that matter most from the members of The Traveling
Wilburys. As well as Harrison and Dylan, the group consisted of Roy Orbison,
Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne. The latter is mostly represented on the Top 101 as a
member of the Electric Light Orchestra. Also included are songs that Harrison
penned for The Beatles to record.
