"Ring Of Fire" is a signature song associated with Johnny Cash. The hit was co-written by his future wife June Carter. The original version was released by her sister Anita in 1962 under the title "(Love's) Ring Of Fire". It was included on the album 'Folk Songs Old And New'.
Cash's interpretation transformed the slow song into a faster paced hybrid of country, rock 'n roll and Mariachi horns. In 1963, his cover version enjoyed 7 weeks atop the US Country Chart.
