Blinded By the Light

 

"Blinded By The Light" was an American #1 hit single in early 1977 for the British group Manfred Mann's Earth Band. The disc also reached the Top 10 in Britain, Canada and New Zealand. 

Bruce Springsteen wrote the song. The first recording of the track appeared on his 1973 album 'Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.'. It was lifted as a single that failed to chart.
