Some are the best selling, while others may be obscure, but the albums listed here are all worthy of a listen. No compilation/ best of sets. Only exceptional live albums included. This is a personal listing of the albums I enjoy the most to this day.

STEVIE WONDER

Stevie Wonder evolved into a musical genius during the 1970s, dropping many outstanding R&B classic tracks. The skilled musician started strong in the 1980s with his 'Hotter Than July' album. This LP offered one of his most diverse tracklistings. There's the soul of "All I Do"; the beautiful ballad "Lately"; reggae track "Master Blaster (Jammin')"; the funk of "I Ain't Gonna Stand For It" and the dance track "Happy Birthday". The latter was part of a push to make Martin Luther King Jr's birthday a national holiday. It worked, of course. Inferior tracks do exist on the album however: "Cash In Your Face", "Do Like You" and "Did I Hear You Say You Love Me". They simply do not measure up alongside the stronger material but are far from objectionable.
