With his good looks and a song filled with pop hooks, "Popular" lived up to its title at Eurovision. Swedish pop star Eric Saade performed the song and qualified for the Grand Final. The ESC that year was held in Dusseldorf, Germany. Saade finished in 3rd place out of 25 songs in that final. His performance on the night included a memorable moment where he smashed a glass box wall.
