MOST RECOMMENDED ALBUMS
Some are the best selling, while others may be obscure, but the albums listed here are all worthy of a listen. No compilation/ best of sets. Only exceptional live albums included. This is a personal listing of the albums I enjoy the most to this day.
#86
THE ELEMENT OF FREEDOM:
ALICIA KEYS
A young woman with her eyes closed, wearing a feathered dress that covers her chest, bares her shoulders and goes around her neck. Laid against a blue background, a white dove is seen flying behind her to the left. The name "Alicia Keys" is written to the right in white font and "The Element of Freedom" is written below that in dark blue font.
 [2009]
Alicia Keys impressed yet again with her 2009 release 'The Element Of Freedom'. Her albums have maintained a high standard and this one was no exception. She had a hand in composing every track. The overall mood is retro soul as Keys applies her considerable vocal talent on every cut. Beyoncé joins her on the duet "Put It in A Love Song". There are elegant R&B soaked ballads such as "Unthinkable (I'm Ready)", "How It Feels To Fly" and "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart". The key track is her collaboration with Jay-Z "Empire State Of Mind Pt.2: Broken Down". Key re-tweaked their duet with brilliant results.
Highlight tracks: Empire State Of Mind Pt.2: Broken Down; Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart & That's How Strong My Love Is.
