PRIVATE DANCER: TINA TURNER
Tina Turner Private Dancer US CD cover art 1984 original.jpg
 [1984]
Tina Turner is a female powerhouse in the annals of rock music. Her recordings with ex-husband Ike Turner were exciting. In 1984, the singer was finally free from her abusive spouse and devoted herself to a transformation that reinvented her. With 'Private Dancer', Turner established herself as one of the greatest female vocalists. The tracks here included a mix of new from sources such as Mark Knopfler and Terry Britten; and a selection of remakes spanning David Bowie, Al Green and The Beatles. What an album with which to launch her solo career and at the age of 45! Highlight tracks: Private Dancer; Let's Stay Together & What's Love Got To Do With It.
