Folk rock came back in 1988 via a debut album by Tracy Chapman. Rock veterans including the Beach Boys, Roy Orbison and Led Zeppelin, enjoyed comebacks. Bobby Brown helped usher in New Jack Swing. Enya broke through with her brand of New Age music.  Among the new acts were Neneh Cherry, S-Express and Taylor Dayne.
