THE LONG RUN: EAGLES
 The Eagles The Long Run.jpg
 [1979]
The 1970s belonged to groups such as Eagles. The band's 'Hotel California' remains a snapshot of America and the era. Following up that classic LP was no mean feat and the group took 3 years to do so. What Eagles did was release a new album to see out the decade. While its predecessor is unbeatable, there are some outstanding songs on 'The Long Run'. The members all get their opportunities to shine. Joe Walsh wows on "In The City". Timothy B. Schmit delivers the sweetest vocal on "I Can't Tell You Why". Don Henley and Glenn Frey are firmly at the helm, where the 2 have remained pivotal. Highlight tracks: I Can't Tell You Why, The Sad Cafe & The Long Run.
