#1959 THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA Michael Crawford & Sarah Brightman
From the 1986 London Cast recording of the box office smash "The Phantom of the Opera", the title song is performed by the show's 2 principal stars: Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. It was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Charles Hart, Richard Stilgoe and Mike Batt.

#1960 LITTLE GREEN BAG George Baker Selection
Rock meets Europop is 1 way to describe Dutch group George Baker Selection's "Little Green Bag". Released in 1969, this hit was written by group members Johannes Bouwens (aka Baker) and Jan Visser. The film 'Reservoir Dogs' exposed many new fans to the hip tune.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added each other weekday.
