SIMPLE DREAMS: LINDA RONSTADT
 [1977]
Linda Ronstadt not only delivered a career highpoint album with 'Simple Dreams', but she proved beyond doubt her interpretative skills. This is a complete album that still stands to this day. Sourcing material from the likes of Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Warren Zevon and The Rolling Stones, Ronstadt makes these tracks her own so the album never sounds like a pastiche of cover versions. This remains one of the best examples of the era in popular music. Highlight tracks: Blue Bayou; Carmelita & It's So Easy.
