Now that we are 15 years into the 21st Century, it’s apropos to look back over the 200 songs since 2000 that have made the greatest impact on the sound of music as it stands in 2015.
To be eligible for the Top 200, a song must have officially appeared on an album, CD single  or as a download between Jan. 1, 2000 and December 31, 2014.

LASY ENTEBELLUM [2009]
 
Lady Antebellum revived country music by giving it a makeover for the new millennium. "Need You Now" is a catchy exa,mple of contemporary country.

THE WHITE STRIPES [2005]
 
Jack White crafted an irresistible piano-rock track with "My Doorbell" for The White Stripes. It possesses traces of blues, pink and indie rock.

JAY-Z  featuring ALICIA KEYS [2009]

Jay -Z created 1 of the coolest collaborative projects with "Empire State Of Mind". Hip-hop meshes with soul in a fresh and genuine way thanks to the guest appearance by Alicia Keys. The marriage of styles spawned a new anthem for NYC but can be appreciated on many other levels.

DAVID GUETTA featuring SIA [2011]
 
David Guetta infused his house music with urban and pop with a novel twist, courtesy of input from Australian singer Sia. The end result was 1 of the decade's landmark dance hits. It also propelled Sia to star status.

IMAGINE DRAGONS [2013]
 
Imagine Dragons channel Coldplsay on this indie-rock track that will take breaths away for years.

LORDE [2013]
 
New Zealand artiste Lorde broke through when "Royals" went viral. Suddenly, she had a #1 hit at home and in the UK, USA, Europe, Canada, Israel and Venezuela. the song itself was a refreshing example of art- pop.
111 STARLIGHT
MUSE [2006]
 
Informed by the likes of Queen, Radiohead, Coldplay and glam rock, Muse dropped this thrilling ball of sound.
