CAFFE` LATTE`TOP 2000 TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}

#1893 LYIN' EYES The Eagles
The group's 2 leading members Don Henley and Glenn Frey combined forces to create this American #2 hit single lifted off The Eagles' 1975 album 'One Of These Nights'. The song features elements of folk, country and rock; all blended together on a bed of measured harmonies.

#1894 MILLION DOLLAR BILL Whitney Houston
This single lifted off Whitney Houston's highly anticipated 2009 comeback album 'I Look To You' was a true return to form for the gifted vocalist. The song was written by Alicia Keys, Kaseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean and Norman Harris. It reached #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Play Chart.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Along with climbing among the remaining Top 100, 2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added each other weekday.

CAFFE` LATTE` TOP 2000 TRACKS
THE TOP 100
#22 DON'T STOP ME NOW
QUEEN
(1978)
Writer:Freddie Mercury
"Don't Stop Me Now" is an empowering song that was first encountered on the Queen album 'Jazz'. The LP was written and recorded in Montreux, Switzerland as well as Nice, France. Issued in 1978, the album's lead single was the double A- sided release of "Bicycle Race" and "Fat Bottomed Girls". Its follow-up was "Don't Stop Me Now".
The track was co-produced by the band with Roy Thomas Baker. Lead singer Freddie Mercury shines on this song, flamboyantly declaring his "never give up" attitude. His brazen lyrics come to life through his exuberant vocal delivery. Brian May infuses the track with his masterful guitar work.
"Don't Stop..." was released as the album's 2nd single in 1979. The disc peaked at #9 on the British chart. It also charted well in Ireland and some European countries. It was the final hit lifted off 'Jazz', as subsequent singles "Jealousy" and "Mustapha" failed to chart.
Queen continued releasing outstanding singles into the 1990s. In November 1991, Mercury announced that he had A.I.D.S. He died that month. Since then, Queen has continued. One incarnation featured Paul Rodgers, forrnerly of the groups Free and Bad Company, on lead vocals. They recorded 'The Cosmos Rocks' which was dropped in 2008. Rodgers quit the following year. In recent years, Queen has performed live around the world with Adam Lambert. In 2014, the group issued a new compilation set entitled 'Forever'. Among its tracks were re-worked versions of Mercury solo songs; 1 of which featured him duetting with Michael Jackson.
This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Each week, 2 new songs from the remaining Top 100 are added, while another 2 are also included from positions 1501-2000 on the other weekdays. Check back here  for an update of the 2000.

We're still reeling from the exciting announcement that Australia can compete and Australians can vote in this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Each week, you can get to meet some of the entries for the big prize and catch up on what's new as countries prepare to compete in Vienna.

I'm predicting a win for Sweden this year, but another contender to watch is the Italian entry: "Grande Amore" from the trio Il Volo. Here's the video clip:

I'm predicting a strong finish for the Italian entry this year.
