CAFFE` LATTE`TOP 2000 TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}

#1729 MANIC MONDAY The Bangles
The Bangles finally broke through around the world with the British, American and Australian Top 3 hit "Manic Monday". Prince (using the pseudonym Christopher) wrote the song for the girl group. The single was blocked at #2 in the USA by his own #1 "Kiss" in 1986.

#1730 BEHIND A PAINTED SMILE The Isley Brothers
The Isley Brothers recorded "Behind A Painted Smile" for Motown Records. The label released the single, written by Ivy Jo Hunter and Beatrice Verdi, in 1968. In Britain, it peaked at #5. Hunter's deft production adds much to the magic of the track. They left the label the following year.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice.This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Along with climbing among the remaining Top 100 each day, 2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added daily.
