CAFFE` LATTE`TOP 2000 TRACKS {EXPANDED EDITION}

#1553 EMPTY GARDEN (HEY, HEY JOHNNY) Elton John
In 1982, Elton John released a tribute to his assassinated friend John Lennon. Bernie Taupin provided the lyrics for "Empty Garden" and John composed the music. The track was also included on the latter's 'Jump Up!' album.

#1554 (ROUND, ROUND, ROUND) BLUE RONDO A LA TURK Al Jarreau
"Blue Rondo A La Turk" was featured on Al Jarreau's 'Breaking Away' LP, issued in 1981. It has 3 variations; beginning with some of Mozart's "Rondo a la Turque", then the jazz vocalist takes on Dave Brubeck's "Blue Rondo A La Turk", before a coda written by Jarreau with the latter.

The list is a ranking made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice.This expanded section now includes songs from the last few years. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
Along with climbing among the Top 200 each day, 2 new songs ranked in positions 1501-2000 will also be added daily.
