Caffe` Latte` celebrates the 40th anniversary of "Waterloo" winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with a special countdown that will be updated daily...

A ranking of ABBA's most significant releases in order of impact / importance. Today, it begins at #40:

ABBATHE 40 MOST IMPORTANT SONGS

40 SANTA ROSA Writers: Benny Andersson/ Bjorn Ulvaeus

"Santa Rosa" is actually a song by only Bjorn & Benny. Agnetha & Frida are absent, although the track was later credited to the group and became the B-side for ABBA's early release "He Is Your Brother". It was recorded in March 1972 and, while it reveals the heavy influence of 1960s Anglophone music on Benny & Bjorn, shows their developing skills as songwriters.

Check back here tomorrow for the next song from ABBA's Top 40 Most Important.
