ABBATHE 40 MOST IMPORTANT SONGS

28 HASTA MANANA

Writers: Benny Andersson / Bjorn Ulvaeus / Stig Anderson

"Hasta Manana" was considered for Eurovision until the group decided on "Waterloo". Would the ABBA history have been totally different had they picked this ballad instead? Its original title was "Who's Gonna Love You". The song marks another watershed in that Agnetha has further developed her emotive vocal here. She would sharpen this skill on subsequent recordings. Nevertheless, "Hasta Manana" did broaden the group's appeal and helped contribute to the sales of the 'Waterloo' album.
