CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#306 MILKSHAKE Village People
The film 'Can't Stop the Music' was far from a cinematic masterpiece, but it is frivolous fun, packed with catchy songs on its soundtrack album. Along with the inclusion of the Village People's most famous song, "Y.M.C.A." and the title tune, is the catchy "Milkshake". The track was written by the group's producers Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo with lead singer Victor Willis.
If anyone dismissed the group in its heyday, they have been silenced by the longevity enjoyed by the Village People's songs. They continue touring to this day. Willis was later replaced by Ray Simpson. Morali died of A.I.D.S. in 1991. (The biker) Glenn Hughes died of cancer in 2001. He was buried in his leathers. In 2013, David Hodo (the construction worker) quit the act. Felipe Rose (the Native American), Alex Briley (the G.I.) and Simpson continue in their roles after several decades.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2 new songs are added each day (every 12 hours) with an expanded edition coming soon!
