CAFFE` LATTE`
TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#476 URGENT Foreigner
70s rock group Foreigner raised the bar in 1981 with their '4' album. Lead-off single "Urgent" ushered in a new era of global success for the British / American band. The song was penned by lead guitarist Mick Jones. Robert John "Mutt" Lange produced the track. What makes the song memorable is the sax solo performed by Junior Walker from the Motown group The All-Stars. That band had scored success in the '60s with hits that included "Shotgun" and "What Does It Take (To Win Yor Love"). "Urgent" rose to the top of the Canadian Top 40. In the US, the song peaked at #4.

This is a list made up of the songs I enjoy the most, ranked in order of preference: the higher we go, the more I cherish them. Some were released as singles, others as album tracks. Some are obscure; others were worldwide hits or have universal appeal. They aren't always the most famous or popular, but simply a personal choice. I have excluded songs from the last few years in order to get a better idea of a song's lasting impression. I hope you find some new tracks to love, or re-discover some past favourites.
2 new songs are added each day (every 12 hours)  with a mid-week bonus every Wednesday.
