TOP 1200 CHOICE TRACKS

#1074 MY BABY Cold Chisel
One of the definitive "pub rock" groups from the late 70s/early 80s, Cold Chisel will long be remembered for their string of hit albums and key tracks that have become anthems of Australian rock. While Jimmy Barnes usually took on lead vocals, the band was fortunate enough to also have guitarist Ian Moss add his bluesy voice to some of their tracks. "My Baby" found Moss on lead vocals for the first time on a single by the group. This was to be the band's first US release. The song was one of the rare tracks penned by bassist Phil Small. Joe Camilleri (from Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons & The Black Sorrows) added saxophone on the track. It was lifted off the group's very successful 1980 release, 'East'.
