#1128 (I'VE HAD) THE TIME OF MY LIFE Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes
This duet was a global  hit recorded for the box office smash film, 'Dirty Dancing'. It was the second major worldwide #1 for Warnes, who had previously scored with "Up Where We Belong", a collaboration with Joe Cocker, from another movie,  'An Officer & A Gentleman".
Medley was one half of the duo the Righteous Brothers. He launched his solo career in 1968, but would reunite with Bobby Hatfield on both stage and record from time to time.
"(I've Had) The Time of my Life" remains Medley's best known solo record. It was written by Donald Markowitz, Franke Previte and John DeNicola. The song was released in 1987. Previte was the pivotal member of 80s group Franke and the Knockouts, best known for the song "Sweetheart". He and DeNicola wrote "Hungry Eyes" which was performed by Eric Carmen on the 'Dirty Dancing' soundtrack.
