Coming off a worldwide chart- topper with "My Sweet Lord", he released a new set of songs on his 1973 album, 'Living in the Material World'. Composed by Harrison, "Give Me Love (Give me Peace on Earth)" was in a similar vein to his previous #1. Harrison pleads to the Lord for a better world and personal sense of contentment, a nod to the influence of Indian spirituality. His vocals, while not beautiful on this, only add to the sincerity and humility.
